PRICE TAKES DEBUT CLIO WIN AT BRANDS FINALE

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 17 / 18

Circuit: Brands Hatch GP, Kent

Track Conditions: Dry / Cloudy

RENAULT CLIO CUP - BRANDS HATCH

Clio Cup Graduate and Team Pyro driver Josh Price, took his maiden victory in the Renault Clio Cup after a brilliant drive in the final round of the championship at Brands Hatch!

The Clio Cup UK Season finale took place at Brands Hatch, around the historic Grand Prix circuit.

Mixed conditions on the Saturday saw the weather change from wet to dry seemingly every half an hour! Qualifying took place in very wet conditions. In a stop start session, Team Pyro driver Josh Price set the 7th fastest time overall, with his second best lap good enough for 6th position start in the second race of the weekend.

Race one saw Price make a lightning getaway, taking 4th position early on and straight into the fight for the podium places.

An early crash saw a lengthy safety car period - during which the race leader made a mistake warming up his tyres, promoting Price up to 3rd position.

The two leaders began to fight, opening the door for Price to sweep through and take the lead! He lead the race into the final lap until a bold move by rival Paul Rivett, saw Price finish just behind him in 2nd at the chequered flag - taking the Graduate win in the process.

Race two once again saw a brilliant getaway from the line from Price to get himself again into 4th position. In the championship deciding fight, the three leaders up ahead collided, spearing one driver into the barrier and demoting the other two - Price took full advantage to sneak through and take the lead of the race!
He reeled off the laps in commanding style to pull out a 1.8s lead over his nearest rival to take the chequered flag, and his first win of the season in the championship to the delight of his team!

"What a race! My first UK Clio Cup win!! I would like to say a huge thankyou to my sponsors and partenrs at  VSL Group, RCIB Insurance Racing and JG Motorsport.
Amazing way to end the season!" said a delighted Price post race.

The results from Brands Hatch mean Price claimed 6th overall in the final standings, aswell as 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup.
His 2017 plans are still to be finalized and will be published when confirmed! Stay tuned...

PODIUM FOR PRICE AT SILVERSTONE

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 15 / 16

Circuit: Silverstone, Northamptonshire

Track Conditions: Dry / Cloudy

RENAULT CLIO CUP - SILVERSTONE

Team Pyro driver Josh Price narrowly missed out on his debut victory in the Renault Clio Cup Championship which took place on the Silverstone National Circuit for the penultimate round of the championship

Silverstone hosted the eigth round of the 2016 Renault Clio Cup Championship, where the Championship begins to reach its conclusion. A short lap and power slipstream allows for great racing for the Clio drivers.

Price continued his great qualifiying form from Rockingham, by bagging himself the 3rd fastest time overall in Timed Qualifying, less than a tenth from pole position. His second fastest lap was the 4th quickest overall which gave him another strong row two start for the second race at Round 16.

The first race saw Price embroiled in an intense race for the podium and victory straight from the off! The front three of Bushell, Whorton-Eales and Price were in a race of three for the majority of the running - swapping places constantly throughout the 18 intense racing laps that saw Price hit the front with a brave move into Copse.

As the race concluded, Bushell managed to jump to the front and narrowily pip Whorton-Eales and Price to the line - with Price taking 3rd position alongside the Graduate Cup Victory in Round 15.

Round 16, going off the outside of the second row looked like it would be a repeat of the earlier race - as Price got the jump into 3rd place early on, shadowing Whorton-Eales and Bushell in the opening stages of the race. Disaster for Price occured on lap 7, as he was forced to pit with car damage after battling for the lead of the race caused a puncture - meaning he ws forced out of contention, finishing an eventual 17th overall.

Price was pipped to the Graduate Cup title by rival Max Coates, as bad luck in this round and previous ones have thwarted Price's challenge.

He will be determined to take back 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup, aswell as aiming for the top 5 overall in the championship at the final round at Brands Hatch.

The final round of the Renault Clio Cup Champioship will take place in a fortnights time on the 1st-2nd October at the historic and ever dramatic Brands Hatch GP Circuit.

PRICE BAGS STRONG POINTS AT ROCKINGHAM

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 13 / 14

Circuit: Rockingham, Northamptonshire

Track Conditions: Mixed / Overcast

RENAULT CLIO CUP - ROCKINGHAM

CLIO CUP YOUNG GUN JOSH PRICE CAPPED OFF A STRONG WEEKEND AT ROCKINGHAM WITH A 6TH AND 5TH POSITION OVERALL IN WILDLY MIXED CONDITIONS OVER THE TWO RACES...

Rockingham was the 7th different circuit to host the Renault Clio Cup in the 2016 Chamipionship for races 13 and 14.

Qualifying took place in dry conditions, as Price put in his best qualifying performance of the season, setting the 3rd fastest time overall, aswell as the 2nd fastest time for second best laps - which set the grid for the second race.

The opening race took place after a sudden storm hit the circuit with such force that it make visibility almost impossible due to the dark sky and spray created by the downpour.

Price overcame these difficult conditions - despite being knocked back at the start and crossing the line in 11th position, he battled his way back through and into 6th positon by the chequered flag - taking the Graduate Cup victory in the process.

Fortunatley the rain had passed by the time racing took place on Sunday for Round 14. Price held 3rd position in the opening laps. Holding his own in the podiums places until lap 7, where he was demoted down to 5th place in the tight infield section.

The gap to the drivers infront and behind Price remained static till the end of the race, as he held 5th position to the finish - taking 2nd overall Graduate.

After the healthy points haul from a strong weekend at Rockingham, Price has gained ground and increased 7th overall in the standings, and solidifying his 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup.

Price goes into the final two rounds of the championship with the main aim to gain further ground overall in the championship - aswell as securing P2 overall in the Graduate Cup.

The next round of the Clio Cup Champioship will take place at the Silverstone National Circuit, as the season begins to reach the business end on the 17-18 September.

MIXED SNETTERTON WEEKEND FOR PRICE

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 11 / 12

Circuit: Snetterton, Norfolk

Track Conditions: Dry / Cloudy

RENAULT CLIO CUP - SNETTERTON

Team Pyro and BMR Backed Driver Josh Price experienced a mixed weekend at Snetterton. A strong opening race finishing in 4th was marred by a difficult race two..

The Renault Clio Cup Championship returned to action after the annual summer break at the Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk. A wet start to the weekend soon subsided as the Clio's were treated with bright conditions throughout the weekend.

A difficult qualifying around the long tight and twisty circuit meant that car setup and compromise was vital around the circuit. Price qualified 11th overall in Qualifying, however his second best time was only good enough for 14th after experiencing prolonged tyre warm up - hampering his progress.

The opening race saw Price make a great start from his P11 grid slot, crossing the line at the end of the first lap in 7th position.

As the race developed, Price settled into the race well - upping his pace to challenge the drivers infront of him around the twisty Norfolk Circuit. By the seventh lap, Price had hit the front the train he was battled with and took 4th position. The two leaders had broken away from the chasing pack, but Price however hauled in the third place driver at 2 tenths of a second per lap, sadly running out of laps before we could challenge for the podium. Price crossed the line in 4th position at the cheqeured flag.

The second race on the Sunday was a difficult start for Price. The tight and narrow grid meant that making progress off the line was always risky business with a high chance of contact. Despite this, Price gained four positions to leap up to 12th position.
Upon catching his rivals ahead, Price went for a move at the Palmer Corner, when the driver infront changed direction under braking - Price was unable to avoid him and damaged the front right corner of the car.

Despite the damage, Price still demonstrated good pace and began to eat into the gap to the top ten.  Price finished just short, crossing the line in 11th place. However he was given a 5 second penalty for exceeding track limits due to the understeer from the damage sustained.

Price currently sits 9th overall in the standings, and 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup. The next round of the Clio Cup Champioship will take place at Rockingham on the 27-28 August.

PRICE LEAVES CROFT WITH A PODIUM

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 9 / 10

Circuit: Croft, North Yorkshire

Track Conditions: Dry / Cloudy

RENAULT CLIO CUP - CROFT

BMR backed Team Pyro driver Josh Price returned to the podium at Croft after a strong showing all weekend to take home some more silverware from the 2016 season...

Rounds 9 and 10 of the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship took place at the Croft circuit in the North of Yorkshire.

Team Pyro driver Josh Price completed a very strong qualifying session, taking a 6th overall, less than 0.4s off pole position, and having a second best time that was only 0.002s off pole position! This meant he would start the two races from 6th and 2nd on the grid repsectively.

Round 9 saw Price lose out on the start, dropping two positions too 8th. By lap 4, Price was setting a pace rivalling that of the leaders as he pushed for a way past the train of 4 cars up ahead of him.
On lap 8 however, Price was hit by a rival driver infront of him who lost control, inflicting race ending damage on the BMR backed driver, as he made his way back to the pits to sadly regsiter a non-finish.

Round 10 saw the luck swing for Price. Starting from 2nd on the grid, he made a great start to lead the race after the opening lap. In a race long battle between three drivers, one being his main rival for the Graduate Cup honours and the other being the most experienced driver in the field, the lead changed on numerous occasions, with Price leading up to lap 5.
The rest of the race saw the front three in a race of their own, up to 5 seconds ahead of the chasing pack. Try as he may, Price could not force the opening to retake 2nd or 1st position, after a late manouvre failed to vault him up the order.

At the flag Price held onto 3rd to take a deserved podium after a string of bad luck in the previous rounds, aswell as 2nd in the Graduate Cup at Round 10.

Price remains 8th overall in the overall championship classification, aswell as retaking 3rd overall in the Graduate Cup standings with this podium finish.

The Clio Cup and BTCC support races head into a summer break for 5 weeks, with the championship restarting again for the second half of the season at Snetterton in Norfolk.

PRICE DENIED BY CRUEL LUCK AT OULTON

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 7 / 8

Circuit: Oulton Park, Cheshire

Track Conditions: Dry / Sunny

RENAULT CLIO CUP - OULTON PARK

Josh Price could not seem to catch a break at a scorching hot Oulton Park, after being plagued by bad luck and being in the wrong place at the wrong time...

Josh Price hit the ground running at the start of a red hot weekend at Oulton Park, banking in the 6th fastest lap in qualifying afteronly his 4th lap.

As he was half way through his 5th lap, his delta split time was 0.3s up on his previous best as he approached the Kinckerbrook chicane. The driver infront clipped the inside tyre barrier, diverting it into Price's path - leaving him no chance to avoid it.

The resulting damage meant he could no longer participate in the sesison, causing lengthy repairs post race aswell as caysing him to not get a second quick lap in. This result was that he would start from 6th and 11th respectively in Rounds 7 and 8 for the races.

Race one (Round 7) saw Price initially lose ground on the opening lap, but regained 6th position back by lap 5. In a close battle for 5th position, the places swapped and changed as Price was in contention for the Graduate class victory. After half distance, Price was dropped down to 9th in all the commotion around the notoriously difficult circuit to overtake on. This is where he would finish at the flag after some robust moves from rival drivers knocked him back too finish out of posiiton.

Price made a blistering start too round 8, vaulting himself into 9th position as once again a train of cars would emerge all fighting for position between 5th and 14th position. Price was all over the back of his main Graduate Cup rival as the race heated up, the driver at the head of the train was driving very defensively, slowing the chasing pack behind him. Ultimately this would be the undoing of a potential strong result for Price, as he was knocked down to 15th place on the 9th lap due to contact in the train of cars.

Price managed to regain a position for 15th at the chequered flag, to finish a trying weekend that never gave the BMR backed Team Pyro driver a stroke of luck!

Josh Price is now 8th overall in the Championship standings, mainting his 2nd position overall in the Graduate Cup standings, as the series heads to Croft in North Yorkshire in just a fortnights time.

Timed Qualifying saw Price excel, taking 3rd fastest time overall in both Qualifying 1 and Qualifying 2, where the 2nd fastest lap makes up the grid for the second race.

Price would be lining up as the lead Graduate Cup driver in both races.

The first race saw Price maintain his 3rd position off the line and broke away with the leading two as the race approached half way. Price made his move into second with three laps to go, and latched onto the back of the leader. In a tense end to the race, Josh held onto 2nd, just 0.5s off the overall race win, whilst taking the Graduate Cup Honours.

The second race in the hot conditions again seemed to favour Price.

Despite being dropped to 4th at the start, Price kept the pressire on for the final podium spot throughout the race. Eventually on lap 6 he made his move into 3rd. By this time the front two had broken away with a gap back to the BMR Backed Pyro Driver.

Price managed to reel off some fast laps to break the slipstream behind him, pulling out a 2.5s gap to his persuers, taking the flag in 3rd position to bank another podium finish and Graduate Cup victory.

The impressive showing at Thruxton has vaulted Price up the championship standings. After 6 rounds, Price is currently 7th overall on 91 points, just ten points off his next rival and also Graduate Cup leader Max Coates.

In the graduate cup standings, Price is 2nd overall with 139 points after his Donington race one DNF dented his score.

Rounds 7 and 8 will be takiing place in a months time at the drivers favourite Oulton Park Circuit on the 4th-5th June, where Josh Price will be aiming to maintain his podium scoring form as he bids to build on this achievement and push for race victories.

DAMAGE LIMITATION AT DONINGTON

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 3 / 4

Circuit: Donington Park, Leicestershire

Track Conditions: Dry / Overcast

RENAULT CLIO CUP - DONINGTON

TEAM PYRO AND BMR BACKED RACING DRIVER JOSH PRICE RECOVERS WELL FROM A DIFFICULT WEEKEND AT DONINGTON PARK IN THE RENAULT CLIO CUP

Rounds 3 & 4 of the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship headed to Donington Park. A mixed range of weather conditions, featuring 4 seasons in one day left the track conditions a lottery for all drivers.

Josh Price endured a difficult qualifying, with a lack of grip over the course of the session compromising his laptimes as he ended up 17th overall in timed qualifying. Josh's best time occured on the 4th lap of the session, whilst his rivals peaked much later in the improving conditions, indicating something was a miss. With the 2nd fastest laps considered for the Race 2 grid, Josh was again 17th overall.

Race 1 (Round 3) started with a frantic change of positions. In the first lap melee, Josh was involved in an accident that caused substancial car damage, as he had to limp home to the pits at the end of the opening lap to retire the car, resulting in his first DNF (Did not finish) of the season.

After the difficulties of the third round, Josh had to score points in this race to salvage something from what was a challenging weekend.

A good start vaulted him up to 14th position as Josh steadily began to increase pace and pick his rivals off. By lap 6 Josh was up to 12th position, setting lap times rivalling the leading pack as he took chunks of time out of the group ahead.

Josh caught the pack fighting for 7th position on the 9th lap, later benefitting from the battling up ahead, Josh squeezed through to take 9th position whilst still showing great pace even in traffic.

Price held 9th to the flag, which later became 8th after a rival driver infront was penalised for exceeding track limits too many times.

Despite a very difficult weekend, Josh managed to salvage some more points which could prove valuable in the standings at the end of the season.
Josh Price is 10th overall in the Clio Cup Championship Standings, and 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup.

The next round will take place at the high speed Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire on the 7th May.

SOLID START FOR PRICE IN 2016 CAMPAIGN

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 1 / 2

Circuit: Brands Hatch, Kent

Track Conditions: Dry / Sunny

RENAULT CLIO CUP - BRANDS INDY

Josh Price makes a solid start to the 2016 Renault Clio Cup campaign, leaving Brands Hatch 8th overall in the standings and 2nd overall in the Graduate Cup

The 2016 season kicked off at the short but fast Brand Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent for the opening round of the Clio Cup Championship.

On the smallest track in the calendar, laptimes were always going to be very close throughout the grid.
This was evident in qualifying, as BMR and RCIB Insurance Racing backed driver Josh Price set a laptime just 0.136s off the fastest lap, ending up 5th overall in the end of qualifying classifiactiion.
However his 2nd best lap was 0.2s slower than his fastest, meaning for the second race Price would have to start from 12th on the grid, despite only being 0.35s off pole!

Round 1 of the championship saw Josh Price squeezed down two positions are the end of the opening lap. Price kept his composure and sought after his rival infront. Price and rival Max Coates would then be embroiled in a closely faught contest all the way to the chequered flag. The pair would be racing around within 0.4s of each other throughout the entire second half of the race as Price finished the opening round in 7th position.

Round 2 saw Price start from the outside of the 6th row. The BMR backed teenager made a great start to launch himself up to 6th position with some clever positioning through the first lap, taking 5th at the start of lap 2.
A train of cars from 3rd to 8th began a race long scrap all bidding to make it onto the podium. Price was dropped down to 7th on lap 18 after being forced wide in the train of cars which he would finish at the end of the race.

However post race, it was deemed that Josh Price had benefitted from exceeding track limits at turn 4, meaning he was handed a 5 second penalty to his race time, dropping him from 7th to 12th in the confirmed classification.

It was a solid start to the season, albeit with some misfortune with the track limit penalty denying Price a larger point score. Josh Price is currently 8th overall in the standingswith 24 points.

The next round takes place in just two weeks time at Donington Park on the 16th-17th April.

JOSH SELECTED FOR BMR CLIO CUP CAMPAIGN

Press Release: 2016 Announcement

2016 SEASON PLANS CONFIRMED

Team BMR are pleased to announce their latest recruits to join the ranks in the Renault UK Clio Cup in the form of Mike Bushell and Josh Price.

Team Pyro drivers Mike and Josh will join fellow team mate Senna Proctor carrying the Team BMR logos, along with the RCIB Insurance Racing brand during their 2016 campaigns.

With the Clio Cup grid shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent years, competition will be tough, but with two recent big announcements in the past week, the BMR drivers are feeling confident heading into this weekend’s opening rounds of the 2016 season.

Team BMR owner and BTCC driver Warren Scott commented “I am delighted to add two new rising stars to the BMR family with the support of Mike Joseph of RCIB Insurance, and everyone at BMR is really looking forward to watching their journey in what looks to be a very exciting season of the Renault UK Clio Cup”.

Josh Price added “It's a real honour to be approached by Warren and Team BMR to be a part of their junior programme and hopefully this is a stepping stone towards my goal of competing in the BTCC. To be representing RCIB Insurance Racing is also a huge boost for me as they have a huge presence in the UK motorsport scene these days"

Price’s Manager, former Team BMR BTCC driver and 2012 Clio Cup Champion Jack Goff commented "I have been looking after Josh since he moved out of karting and into car racing.

Following his first day in the Clio I could tell he has a natural talent and feel for what the car is doing underneath him. His karting record speaks for itself, but I feel that 2016 could be the year that he cements his name in the saloon car ranks.
With my connections at BMR and RCIB Insurance from my past years with them, it's nice to be able to now help out Josh in his early years in car racing and it will be good to still be working alongside Mike Joseph at RCIB who has helped me massively over the years".

The season commences this coming weekend (Sat 2/Sun 3 April) for the start of its 2016 season at Kent’s world-famous Brands Hatch circuit in front of a bumper Dunlop British Touring Car Championship crowd.

SEASON BEST 4TH FOR JOSH AT BRANDS FINALE

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 17 / 18

Circuit: Brands Hatch GP, Kent

Track Conditions: Dry / Sunny

RENAULT CLIO CUP - BRANDS HATCH

JOSH PRICE DELIVERS SEASON BEST 4TH POSITION AT ROUND 17 OF THE RENAULT CLIO CUP UK CHAMPIONSHIP! GRAND FINALE CHAOS SEE'S JOSH REGISTER HIS ONLY DNF OF THE SEASON.

Essex born driver Josh Price finished the final round of the Renault Clio Cup UK Championship at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in Kent, finishing 16th Overall in the 2015 Championship, despite competing in only 6 out of the 18 rounds of the year.

At the challenging Brands Hatch GP circuit, new to Josh as with all the circuits, he managed to register a solid 10th for Round 17 in the Timed Qualifying Season, whilst setting a 2nd best time enough to place himself 11th on the grid for the final round of the season.

Clio Cup always provides action in all races, with it being the season finale, the actionwas upped further!

At the start of Round 17, Josh was knocked to the back of the field in the first lap melee, dropping him 12 seconds off the lead from the get go! However undeterred, Josh got his head down and caught the chasing pack. The safety car was deployed for 2 laps, allowing Josh to latch back onto the crocodile for when the race resumed on lap 4.

By lap 12 Josh was back up to 8th position showing very good pace and sything through the field and commotion.

With two laps to go, Josh made further progress up to 6th at the flag. Post-race penalties for two rivals ahead for exceeding track limits promoted Josh to a season best, and hard earned 4th position.

The Grand Finale of Round 18 saw another rough start for Josh, as once again he was punted down the order in the tightly packed grid, losing him 5 positions. Josh again managed to fight back up two positions up to 14th place. Sadly however this was as far as he was able to get, as a rival driver took Josh out of contention just 5 laps into the race, blunting his quest for more points.

Despite the final round setback, it was a very impressive showing from Josh. In just 6 rounds he accumilated enough points to be 16th overall in the standings, amassing 84 points in just 1/3 of the season! With a full season under his belt, it wouldn't be unwise to say he would have finished challenge the top 6.

The season for Clio Cup is now over, however stay tuned for information on Josh's 2016 plans online!

FANTASTIC FIFTH FOR JOSH AT SILVERSTONE

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 15 / 16

Circuit: Silverstone, Northamptonshire

Track Conditions: Dry / Sunny

RENAULT CLIO CUP - SILVERSTONE

CLIO CUP TEENAGE RACER JOSH PRICE IMPRESSED WITH TWO GREAT SHOWINGS AT SILVERSTONE, BEATING DRIVERS WITH MANY MORE YEARS EXPERIENCE THAN HIMSELF!

Talented teenage racer Josh Price took part in his second ever Clio Cup UK Championship event at the Silverstone National Circuit, for Rounds 15 and 16 of the 2015 Championship.

Despite it being only his 2nd ever car race, Josh showed his potential by taking two strong qualifying positions for the two races. Josh would start Race One (Round 15) from the 4th row, just a tenth of a second off 5th position.

Race Two (Round 16) was dictated on the second fastest time of the session. Josh managed to string together some consistant laps, meaning his 2nd quickest time was just 0.050s slower than his fastest, resutling him starting the race from 6th on the grid.

Race One saw Josh make a steady start, gaining a position up to 8th by the end of lap 4. Josh continued to make progress through the field as he managed to reach 5th position on lap 14! Clever racecraft saw him nip past two rivals in one lap, allowing him to pull a small gap in the process. Josh would finish the race in 5th position, however he encountered a 5 second time penalty due to exceeding the track limits at turn one, which demoted him to 7th. Nevertheless it was a promising race for the youngster, showing great speed despite his inexperience in the class.

Round 16 saw Josh make a battling start to maintain his position, even gaining one up to 5th postion on lap 5. As the field bunched up around the tight circuit, Josh would continue to be on race leading pace despite loosing a position in the mid race altercations.

Josh crossed the line in 6th position, but was later promoted to 5th after a rival driver incurred a 5 second penalty for track limit infringements.

Josh managed to accumilate a large amount of points, meaning he is just outside the top 15 in the championship despite only competing in 4 round compared to the others who have competed in all 16!

The pace Josh showed was very promising at Silverstone, he even set the best ideal lap in Round 16, and was the 3rd fastest overall lap in that race.

The next event takes place at the Brands Hatch GP Circuit in Kent on the 10th-11th October.

PRICE MAKES CLIO CUP DEBUT AT THE ROCK

Event: Renault Clio Cup UK - Rounds 13 / 14

Circuit: Rockingham, Northamptonshire

Track Conditions: Dry / Sunny

RENAULT CLIO CUP - ROCKINGHAM

Teenage speedster Josh Price made his Renault Clio Cup debut at Rockingham Raceway at the weekend - and it was quite an experience.

Josh was not allowed to run his practice session on the Saturday because he had tested at Rockingham previously and this is not allowed.

However, the talented teen was not fazed and he duly qualified in ninth place from an entry of 14 - a pleasing start to his car racing career.

Race 1 on Saturday afternoon saw Josh finish in a highly respectable seventh place, just 0.455 seconds off sixth.

His two times from Saturday’s races saw Josh start in 11th place for race 2 on Sunday afternoon.

Being screened live on ITV4 with a huge audience, Josh was on the grid and waiting for the red lights to go out, but unfortunately he stalled his engine.

Josh has a never say die attitude, though, and on the fifth lap he had caught up with the trailing pack. He eventually finished the race in 11th place, 25.43s behind the winner, having lost 15-20s at the start.

Josh said afterwards:

“Absolutely gutted to have made such a mistake at the start but I’m only human."

"A big thankyou to the Renault Clio Cup for making me feel welcome.”

Josh drove exceptionally well for his first venture into car racing and he now looks forward to racing at Silverstone later this month and Brands Hatch in October.
