2017

Josh Price graduated to the pinnacle of touring car racing after joining Subaru Team BMR for the 2017 British Touring Car Championship season, after a last minute deal saw the former Clio Cup star make the coveted move up to the premier class.

The 18-year old replaced Warren Scott in the fourth Subaru Levorg after the latter opted to vacate his BTCC seat to concentrate on his role as team principal at Team BMR.Teenager Price will join Ashley Sutton, James Cole and double BTCC champion Jason Plato at the BMR squad in a Subaru Levorg GT this season, graduating from the Renault UK Clio Cup after just one year in the series.

After a strong season in the Renault UK Clio Cup last year, when he took one win and sixth in the championship, Price garnered the support of the BMR Academy - a stepping stone programme created by the team to assist young drivers with the transition to the BTCC.

BMR had worked to bring Price into the BTCC over the winter but had been unable to finalise the arrangement.

But after the news was released that Price would race in the Clio Cup again with BMR, a new sponsor joined the fold and allowed him to step up to the BTCC after all.
